Sunday Afternoon

Students arrive into London Heathrow Airport or London Kings Cross station and are met by a waiting member of the Business Projects team. They then travel together to our accommodation to meet the rest of the group and settle into their rooms.

Sunday Evening

It is nearly time for our welcome dinner, but first our students attend a welcome induction to go over the plan for the week and a few health and safety tips. After dinner there is time for a few games to get to know each other and then it is off to bed!

Monday Morning

We start the morning by dividing the students into their business groups for the week. Each group is allocated a business idea which they will work on developing and launching throughout the week. The morning focuses on business planning tools which will be used to create the foundation business  plan for the week.

Monday Afternoon

After lunch our students have some time to do some crucial market research related to their new business, before coming up with that all important business plan. After a long first day of teaching our students head back to the accommodation to relax before dinner. After dinner it is time for our group quiz, where there are some Medical Projects prizes up for grabs!

Tuesday Morning

Students spend today taking part in learning from experts in the world of branding. Learning the fundamentals of developing your brand, and why it can help make or break a business! Students will learn about how global companies create and maintain a strong brand. We will also visit the London Museum of Branding to see how some of the world’s largest companies have created and adapted their brands over time to keep up with ever-changing consumer tastes.

Tuesday Afternoon

The afternoon is dedicated to applying the lessons learned from the morning’s branding sessions. Students will design their own logo and decide how they want their business to be perceived by customers. Once they have finished, the group heads to the world famous Trafalgar Square to take photos and soak up the atmosphere before taking part in a scavenger hunt across Westminster.

Wednesday Morning

Today is all about marketing! Students learn about the different essential marketing disciplines. Students will take part in workshops about how to approach digital and social media marketing, as well as more traditional marketing styles. Students will then have a chance to market their own business in real time and see the results!

Wednesday Afternoon

Students have free time this afternoon to explore London! They can choose to visit any of London’s famous tourist sites, or to just relax and work on their businesses. Everyone meets back up for a relaxing evening in, playing a game of pool or chatting about what they have learnt that day.

Thursday Morning

Thursday is our finance day – dedicated to all things money! The morning is dedicated to learning about the different finance options available to businesses including business loans, crowdfunding, organic financing, traditional investment and venture capital.

Thursday Afternoon

Students spend the afternoon learning about trading and the stock exchange. Students learn to understand global financial markets, what the role of stock markets is, and how businesses use stock markets. Then it is time to explore Covent Garden, one of London’s most popular tourist attractions before we head home for dinner.

Friday Morning

Today we learn all about pitching, Dragon’s Den style! Students learn about the key points to cover during their pitch and getting some tips from experienced business professionals to help them develop their public speaking skills.

Friday Afternoon

The afternoon is dedicated to pitching to our Dragon’s Den style panel of experienced business professionals! Students will pitch in groups for investment, business advice, or whatever other need they have developed through the week. Then it is time for dinner in a local restaurant before we head to Victoria to watch Wicked! It’s the perfect way to finish off the week in London.

Please note, the above timetable is an example of a typical week. Depending on individual teacher availability, business schedules and public holidays, this is subject to change.

Accommodation

Our accommodation is based in safe, quiet areas within easy reach of Central London.

Our students share single-gender dormitory style rooms, normally shared with up to 5-6 students.

We have 3-4 accommodation partners which we use depending on student numbers and project dates, so please get in touch with us for exact details of your accommodation. You can see our accommodation partners in the gallery to give you an idea of what students can expect from their time with Business Projects.

Transport

Students are required to meet us at pre-designated meeting points in London. Students will be required to purchase an Oyster travel card for all travel whilst with us which can be organised prior to travel or will be done with the team upon arrival.

Food & Drink

Students are provided a continental breakfast each morning before heading out for the day. Individual items vary depending on the accommodation but students can expect some of the following; toast, cereal, fruit, yoghurt, butter, jam and other spreads, juice, tea and coffee.

Dinner is included every night during students’ time with us. Where we eat will vary; sometimes we will eat out at a nearby restaurant, have food prepared at our accommodation, or you may be given a cash allowance and choose your own dinner with a group of fellow students. You will dine on a range of different cuisines, but regardless of where we go there will always be an option that fits students’ dietary requirements.

Extra-Curricular Activities

Whilst learning is our main focus, we also want to ensure students make the most of their time in London and leave with new friends from all over the world!

Our team arrange great social activities for some of the evenings the students are with us. Some of these take place in our accommodation to help break the ice at the beginning of the week, but we also organise some fantastic experiences around the city, which might include;
