Mark previously worked in one of the UK’s largest Sixth Form colleges and also for one of the UK’s largest overseas work experience operators. Mark’s passion for education and travel now sees him managing all of the Education Projects Group of companies and overseeing the development of new learning experiences and projects for students.

Lauren Miller

Head of Communications

Having previously worked as an account manager in client facing roles, Lauren has worked with people of all ages and backgrounds, both in the UK and overseas. Using these skills, Lauren manages the relationships between organisations, partners, and students, ensuring all are as seamless as possible.

Eleanor Garrick

Student Placement Manager

Having overseen 10,000+ students in the past few years, Eleanor has a wealth of experience with overseas travel and the co-ordination of student placements. Eleanor is responsible for running our current courses, and developing new projects both in the UK and overseas.

Amy Hooper

Student Placement Co-ordinator

Amy has a vast amount of experience within the NHS coordinating undergraduate medical students on placement. She is also an experienced traveller, having lived and travelled in China for two years. Amy’s passion for student development and travel helps us deliver amazing learning experiences for our students.

Shannon Hodge

Student Placement Co-ordinator

Shannon is a journalism graduate with a range of communications experience. Her strong interest in women’s rights led her to volunteer for many UK charities and move to India for three months, to work on health and livelihoods projects. In her role at the Education Projects Group, Shannon is keen to help others have the same incredible experience she did.

Medical Advisor

Dr. Diviney is brilliant at clinical teaching and often runs extra sessions for students during evenings. Dr. Diviney has a passion for emergency care and medicine. Dr. Diviney has been involved with teaching on our courses with Medical Projects for the last three years.

Dr. Aicha Rais

Dr. Aicha Rais

Medical Advisor

Dr. Rais is currently working in Child and Adolescent Mental Health at a hospital in Nottingham, but she joins Medical Projects groups when possible to teach them about working life as a doctor and specialising in psychiatry.  Dr. Rais also has experience teaching our students overseas, and is involved in the development of our application preparation sessions. 

Dr. Shanika Gunasinghe

Dr. Shanika Gunasinghe

Medical Advisor

Dr. Gunasinghe is a graduate of Barts and the London School of Medicine. Since she qualified Dr. Gunasinghe has worked in a wide range of departments across London. Dr. Gunasinghe has taught Medical Projects students on both our London project and our overseas placements.

Dr. Ali-Abbas Moosa

Dr. Ali-Abbas Moosa

Medical Advisor

Dr. Moosa has been involved with teaching Medical Projects students since 2017 when he joined us in Project Kilimanjaro as a Medical Advisor. He now teaches our students on Project London when he is not working at the John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford.

Tizia, Tini & Taras

Tizia, Tini & Taras

Local Kilimanjaro Team

Husband and wife team Tini and Tizia run our accommodation in Kilimanjaro, and also help to organise our placements in the hospital. Tini was born and raised in Arusha, so he knows everything there is to know, while Tizia is German by birth but first visited Tanzania in 2010 when she finished school. After she met Tini she moved to Arusha full time and they now raise their young son Taras in Arusha. You might see him around at our accommodation! 

Harsha Buddhadasa

Local Sri Lanka Team

Harsha has years of experience organising hospital and volunteer placements for students. He is responsible for making sure students get the most out of their time in Sri Lanka. A native of Galle, Harsha is perfectly placed to help students explore this beautiful city! You will see Harsha around both in the hospital and at the accommodation making sure everything runs smoothly.
