Frequently asked questions
Joining us for one of our award-winning career insight courses is an exciting time, but we appreciate that students, parents and teachers alike may have a question or two…
Please find below some of our most frequently asked questions. If you have any further questions, or would like more information about anything we do, our team are here to help. Simply click the ‘Get In Touch’ button at the bottom of this page and ask away!
How do I book one of your courses?
To book onto a Medical Projects course, simply click the button in the menu titled Apply Now to fill in our online application form. Once you have entered your information, all you need to do is pay the initial £290 registration fee to secure your place.
When can I join one of your courses?
Individual students can join any of our public courses during the school holidays. The available dates will vary depending on course location, but you can always find an up to date list of current availability on each course page.
Groups of 15 or more students wanting to travel together can choose any week through the year to join us. Just get in touch with us to organise your bespoke course.
How old do I have to be to join a course?
We run courses for students aged 13+. Individual courses are aimed at different age ranges to ensure that we can tailor the course to each students’ academic level. Please check the individual course pages for specific age requirements.
Can I join a course if I am already at university?
Yes, you are very welcome to attend a course if you are already at university. Our courses are suitable for anyone with an interest in healthcare.
Do students join a course on their own?
Yes, the vast majority of our students attend one of our courses on their own. We are happy to put students in touch with one another before they join our course, so that they can get to know each other and/or arrange to travel together.
Is the registration fee refundable?
No, once your place has been confirmed the registration fee is non-refundable. This is because your registration fee is used to hold your booking and to make initial arrangements for your course. We recommend all students purchase travel insurance as soon as they have booked; to ensure they have cover in case they need to cancel their course unexpectedly.
What is included in the course cost?
Our residential courses include your career insight placement, accommodation, breakfast and dinner each day, airport transfers (where required) and 24 hour staff supervision.
Does the cost include flights?
No. Because our students join us from all over the world, you will need to organise your own flights to join us. Our Student Placement Team will provide you with our flight windows once you have booked and will be able to advise you on popular flight routes.
Are students supervised at all times?
Students under the age of 18 are supervised at all times, unless prior parental permission is given for students to spend time independently during allocated free time periods. Parents have the choice of three levels of supervision permission at this time, which is submitted before the student travels.
Students over the age of 18 are able to spend time how they wish during allocated free time periods.
Do students gain a certificate at the end of their course?
Students attending one of our residential courses will gain a certificate of completion at the end of their course. We are also happy to write personal reference letters upon request for any of our students.
