Hands-on Midwifery Work Experience
On our course, you will take part in various midwifery scenarios such as natural and C-Section birth, antenatal and postnatal care, administration of pain relief and carrying out minor surgeries.
Birth Simulators
We use professional birth simulators on our UK Midwifery Work Experience Week course. This will give you a unique opportunity of experiencing multiple birth scenarios such as natural birth or C-Section and feel the pressure of making life-changing decisions!

You will take part in multiple scenarios where you will have to handle the baby manikins and make sure all the correct postnatal procedures are followed. This can include checking the baby’s vital functions, investigating symptoms, taking blood samples or dealing with emergency situations.
Our mentors are qualified and trained NHS midwives and exceptional midwifery students. They are there just for you! You will have an opportunity to ask our mentors questions about the course and their day-to-day life, the pros and cons of being a midwife, or anything else that you may want to ask about.

Mock Midwifery Interviews
Feel the atmosphere and the pressure of a face-to-face midwifery interview! First, our mentors will help you master the interview questions by explaining what admission officers want to hear and what is expected from you. Then you will take part in 1-to-1 mock interviews with our mentors where you can practice your answers, and our mentors will give you personal feedback so you know how to improve your performance!
What is it like to be a midwife? What is your day-to-day job? How many babies does a midwife see per day? Our registered and experienced midwives will explain to you what it is like to be a midwife. They will also dedicate their time to answering all the questions you may have so you know exactly what to expect if you decide to pursue a career in midwifery.

A key part of the week is the chance to make friends with like-minded students and share a one-in-a-lifetime educational trip together. We organise a range of relaxed student activities in the evenings to socialise, relax, and unwind after a busy day of learning.
Accommodation & Meals
Accommodation, breakfast and dinner is included every day. We use some of the best student accommodation in London. We have two main accommodation partners: Middlesex University and Stay Club. We use these as they are safe, secure and have great amenities and travel links.

Unlike many other course providers, we have full-time Medical Projects members of staff on the course at all times. All our staff are enhanced DBS checked, First Aid trained and Safeguarding qualified. Our student to staff ratio is always at least 8:1 and we always have a female member of staff on duty at all times.
