Hands-on Work Experience
Gaining hands-on work experience is an essential part of a student’s journey to figuring out if medicine is the career for them and is also a key part of the medical school admissions process. This course is packed with hands-on practical experiences.
Medical Simulations
We believe students learn best when placed in fully immersive situations. We use state-of-the-art medical simulation centres where students will deal with real medical cases with our simulation manikin patients. It’s like the popular tv show “24 Hours in A&E” but in our safe and controlled environment. Students will be making life and death decisions and treating patients with their newly learned medical skills and knowledge.

Clinical skills form some of the foundations of medicine and getting to grips with these early on will give students a great head start for medical school. We use hospital grade equipment for exciting skills such as suturing, venipuncture and cannulation.
Teaching By NHS Doctors and Medical Students
Our courses are taught by practicing NHS Doctors and current medical students. All our teachers share a passion for helping students gain that place at medical school and go above and beyond for each student.

Mock Medical School Interviews
Often the most nerve wracking part of the week are the mock interviews. Under examination conditions we use an MMI style to simulate the real interviews. Students gain a real understanding of their interview ability, and with personal feedback from each station, they will understand how to raise their game ready for their real medical school interviews.
AR & VR Training
The world students will graduate into will be very different from today’s, this is why we have built the future of medicine into this course. We bring the latest medical augmented reality and virtual reality tools to students so they can experience and gain an appreciation for the future of medicine.

Student Socials
A key part of the week is the chance to make friends with like-minded students and share a one-in-a-lifetime educational trip together. We organise a range of relaxed student activities in the evenings so students can socialise, relax and unwind after a busy day of learning.
Accommodation & Meals
Accommodation, breakfast and dinner is included every day. We use some of the best students accommodation in London. We have two main accommodation partners: Middlesex University and Stay Club. We use these as they are safe, secure and have great amenities and travel links.

Full-time Staff
Unlike many other course providers, we have full-time Medical Projects members of staff on the course at all times. All our staff are DBS checked, First Aid trained and Safeguarding qualified. Our student to staff ratio is always at least 8:1 and we always have a female member of staff on duty at all times.

All students will be provided personal feedback and detailed feedback sheets that can be taken home.
Covered:
Mock MMIs
Personal feedback
After their interviews, students will have allocated free time where they can explore around London with other students on the course.
Day 6 - Friday
Friday is the last day in the simulation suite and we cover some advanced medical scenarios. Student will be taking on advanced A&E cases such as road traffic accidents, full cardiac arrests and other life-threatening traumas. We push students to these advanced levels so they truly understand the career they are considering and also to provide insight and experience they can’t find anywhere else. A real stand out for their medical school applications.
