Hands-on Dental Work Experience

When it comes to dentistry schools, work experience is invaluable. On this week-long course, you will get lots of hands-on work experience ranging from diagnosing teeth issues, managing cavities, administering local anaesthetics, delivering fillings and more!

Dental Phantom Heads

We believe students learn best if they are fully immersed in the experience. We use dental phantom heads on this course – it is the same equipment used by dentistry schools for their students. This way, you will get hands-on dentistry experience before starting dentistry school.

Real Dentistry Insight

A part of this course is focused on making sure you understand what is it like to be a dentist and what is it like within a dental practice in day-to-day life. You will get an appreciation of the hard work dentists do every day, understanding the roles of support staff in a dental practice, and you will be able to form your own opinion on if this is something you can see yourself being a part of!

Problem-Solving Dental Scenarios

After the initial introduction to dentistry, you will be presented with various dental scenarios where you will have to work in a team to diagnose the patient and develop a treatment plan. This way, you will use your problem-solving skills and will be able to prove to dentistry schools you are a problem-solver who can get stuck in!

Mock Dentistry School Interviews

Feel the atmosphere and the pressure of a face-to-face dentistry school interview! First, our mentors will help you master the interview questions by explaining what admission officers want to hear and what is expected from you. Then you will take part in 1-to-1 mock interviews with our mentors where you can practice your answers, and our mentors will give you personal feedback, so you know how to improve your performance!

Master the Admission Exams

Our mentors will go through all the strategies and techniques you need to understand to ace the UCAT and the BMAT. Time management, skim-reading, flag and go, SCANS mnemonic – all included and thoroughly explained! After this course, you will understand what you need to work on to progressively improve your UCAT and/or BMAT score.

Student Socials

A key part of the week is making friends with like-minded students and share a one-in-a-lifetime educational trip. We organise a range of relaxed student activities in the evenings so students can socialise, relax and unwind after a busy day of learning.

Accommodation & Meals

Accommodation, breakfast and dinner is included every day. We use some of the best student accommodation in London. We have two main accommodation partners: Middlesex University and Stay Club. We use these as they are safe, secure and have great amenities and travel links.

Full-time Staff

Unlike many other course providers, we have full-time Medical Projects members of staff on the course at all times. All our staff are enhanced DBS checked, First Aid trained and Safeguarding qualified. Our student to staff ratio is always at least 8:1 and we always have a female member of staff on duty at all times.

What Our Students Think

“AMAZING COURSE! I really felt like a doctor during the week. It ensured me that Medicine is what I want to do in the future and that I will enjoy it. I also made so many new friends!”

– Maggie (student)

“My son enjoyed the course a lot and received 4 offers from 4 different medical schools, so I guess it was more than worth it. We had some special requirements in terms of the accommodation, and the food and the staff were so lovely and really did their best to ensure we were satisfied.”

– Francis (Parent)

“Our daughter wasn’t sure if pursuing Medicine was the right option for her since she was struggling to get any work experience. We decided to book this course and it was worth every penny – very insightful.”

– Margaret (Parent)

We take great pride in creating a course that is challenging, educational, immersive and fun for our students. This combination ensures students make the most of the week and we receive excellent feedback from our students.
